California’s waters are home to a few prized fish—elusive, curious, and undeniably delicious. Whether you’re after the massive Bluefin tuna or yellowtail in the deep blue, or hunting the elusive White Sea bass through the kelp beds, every moment will be one for the books. Imagine the thrill of landing your catch, then serving it up as fresh sushi for you and your friends. This is a California adventure that you and your crew will be talking about for years to come.
This trip is for intermediate to advanced spearfishermen, ready to elevate their skills. California’s waters are famous for massive schools of Bluefin tuna, appearing like walls in the deep. Under CJ’s expert guidance, you’ll refine both your blue water hunting and safety techniques, with the chance to land a prized Bluefin—and maybe a yellowtail, mahi, or White Sea bass to go with it. The rush of spotting a tuna and diving in for the chase is unmatched, making this a trip a definite bucket list item for any spearfisherman.

When you’re chasing tuna, having a reliable boat is non-negotiable. That’s why we run our trips on a 39-foot Contender Center Console, powered by triple 350 hp Yamaha outboards. With a range of over 500 miles on a single tank, we can fish almost anywhere. More speed means less time traveling and more time in the water, giving you the flexibility to hit multiple spots during your charter. California’s Bluefin tuna are legendary, often reaching up to 200 pounds, and seeing one rise from the depths is a heart-pounding moment. You’ll be diving as deep as 80 feet to find that prize catch. Each day will be spent cruising the ocean, and once we spot a school, you’ll be in the water, ready to take your shot. Bring your tuna gun, extra shafts, float lines, floats, 5mm wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, and dive belt. Need new or rental gear? Just ask us about our top-of-the-line equipment.

As with any fishing adventure, there’s no guarantee that fish will always be biting. However, we’ll use advanced sonar technology, stay in touch with local fishermen, and draw on our previous experience to maximize your chances. To increase your odds of landing a catch, we recommend booking 2-3 days of fishing, as fish can be present one day and absent the next. Enhance your investment by extending your trip. Your accommodation will be Airbnb-style housing, conveniently located a short drive from the dock to make the most of your time on the water.
